1. Who we are
Easy Ride Mini Cabs is a trading name of Essex Auto Village Ltd. Essex Auto Village Ltd is licensed by Transport for London as a private hire operator, and is the company you make your contract with when you book with Easy Ride Mini Cabs.
In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Essex Auto Village Ltd, trading as Easy Ride Mini Cabs. “You” means the person or organisation making the booking. A “passenger” is anyone who travels in a vehicle we provide. A “booking” is a journey you have booked and paid for on this website, or a journey we have confirmed with you.
You can contact us on 020 8709 2059, on WhatsApp at 07832 713000 or by email at [email protected]. Our office is open 24 hours, 7 days a week.
2. Our services
We provide pre-booked private hire journeys, including:
- airport transfers to and from Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Luton, London City and Southend
- minicab journeys anywhere in London, and longer journeys beyond it
- business travel through a business account
Every journey depends on a suitable vehicle and driver being available. We may decline any request.
3. How booking works
You can book on this website, by phone, by email, on WhatsApp or through a business account.
Booking and paying on this website. When this website shows a price for your journey, you can book it and pay for it there. Your booking is made when your payment goes through, and we email you a confirmation. We then call you from 020 8709 2059, or message you on WhatsApp from 07832 713000, to confirm the details of the journey.
Sending a request. When the website does not show a price, for example for a pick-up in the next few hours, a long journey or an address we cannot find on the map, what you send is a request, not a booking. A member of our team checks that a driver is free for your time. We then call you or message you on WhatsApp to agree the fare and the details of the journey. A request becomes a booking only when we have confirmed it with you by phone or WhatsApp. Until then, neither of us is bound to the journey. The same applies to requests made by email.
Please make sure the details you give us are correct, including the pick-up time and address, the number of passengers and luggage, and your flight number for airport collections.
4. Fares and prices
A price shown on this website is for the whole car, not per person. It includes VAT, where we charge it, and the charges you cannot avoid on that journey, such as an airport drop-off charge or parking while your driver meets you, the London Congestion Charge and tunnel or bridge tolls. Optional extras, such as a child seat, are shown with their price. The price is worked out from the route, the time of day and the car, and it is the price for the journey, time and car you book.
For a request, or a booking made by phone, email or WhatsApp, we agree the fare with you before the journey, when we confirm your booking.
The price or fare is based on the details you give us. It may change if:
- the journey details change
- you need us to wait longer than agreed (see section 7)
- stops are added
- you need a different vehicle
- the details you gave us were not correct
If the price or fare needs to change, we tell you first. A quote we give you is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise.
5. Payment
Booked on this website. You pay the full price by debit or credit card when you book, on the secure payment page of Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or keep your card details. Stripe emails you a receipt.
Requests and bookings by phone, email or WhatsApp. When we confirm your booking, we tell you how and when to pay. Payment methods may include debit or credit card, bank transfer and business account billing. For some bookings we may ask for full or part payment before the journey.
Any extra charge that arises after you have paid, such as waiting time or a change on the day (see section 4), is paid to the driver or by bank transfer. We tell you about it before you pay it.
If a payment we have agreed with you is not made, we may cancel the booking.
6. Changes and cancellations
If you need to change or cancel a booking, call us on 020 8709 2059, message us on WhatsApp at 07832 713000 or reply to your confirmation email as soon as you can, quoting your booking reference.
Bookings paid on this website. If you cancel at least 24 hours before your pick-up time, we refund the full amount you paid. If you cancel less than 24 hours before your pick-up time, any refund is at our discretion. Refunds go back to the card you paid with, and your bank may take 5 to 10 working days to show them.
Other bookings. If a cancellation charge could apply to your booking, we tell you when we confirm it. We will not charge you for cancelling unless we told you about the charge before you confirmed.
If we cannot provide a journey you have paid for, or we cancel it, we refund the full amount. A change to the journey may change the price or fare (see section 4).
We may cancel a booking if a payment we agreed with you is not made, or in the situations set out in sections 14 and 19.
7. Waiting time
We agree your pick-up time with you when we confirm your booking.
Airport collections
Where you give us your flight number, we explain when we confirm your booking how long your driver will wait after your flight lands. Longer waits may be charged, so we go through exactly what applies when we call.
Other collections
Please be ready at the agreed pick-up time. If you are not, waiting charges may apply. We tell you what applies when we confirm your booking.
8. Flight monitoring
Where you give us your flight number, we monitor your flight and will make reasonable efforts to adjust your pick-up time if it is delayed or arrives early.
We are not responsible for delays caused by airlines, airports, passport control, baggage delays or other circumstances outside our control.
9. Routes and journey times
Any journey time we give you is an estimate. We take reasonable steps to keep delays to a minimum, but we are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, road closures, weather, accidents, police activity, public events or other causes outside our control. Please allow plenty of time for flights, trains and important appointments.
10. Children and child seats
Child seats may be available on request. A child seat is only guaranteed once we have confirmed it with you when we call. Please tell us the age of each child when you ask, so we can check what is needed.
Parents and guardians are responsible for supervising children during the journey.
11. Assistance dogs and help on your journey
We carry assistance dogs at no extra charge.
When you book, you can tell us if you use a wheelchair or would like other help, such as help finding the car. We will tell you what we can arrange. We do not charge for telling us about your needs.
12. Luggage
Please tell us how many suitcases and other bags you are bringing when you book, so we can send a vehicle with enough room. We may refuse luggage that does not fit safely in the vehicle, that was not declared when you booked, or that is unsafe to carry.
13. Passengers’ responsibilities
Passengers must:
- treat drivers and our staff with respect
- wear a seat belt where the law requires it
- take care not to damage the vehicle
- follow the driver’s reasonable instructions
Passengers are responsible for their own belongings during the journey.
14. Behaviour, alcohol and drugs
We or the driver may refuse to start a journey, or end it, if a passenger:
- appears to be heavily drunk
- uses illegal drugs
- is threatening or abusive to the driver or our staff
- damages the vehicle
- puts anyone’s safety at risk
If this happens, no refund is due.
15. Damage and soiling
You are responsible for damage to a vehicle caused by you or anyone travelling with you. We may recover the cost of repair and cleaning, and a cleaning charge may apply if a vehicle is left badly soiled.
16. Lost property
If you leave something in a vehicle, call us on 020 8709 2059 or message us on WhatsApp at 07832 713000 as soon as possible. We will do our best to help you get it back, but we are not responsible for items left in a vehicle.
17. Special requests
We will make reasonable efforts to meet special requests, such as an extra stop or a journey for an event. A special request is only part of your booking if we confirm it with you. Events such as weddings may need their own arrangements, which we confirm in writing when you book.
18. Business accounts
Business accounts are subject to approval. If we open an account for your organisation, you agree to:
- pay our invoices within the payment period we agree with you
- give us accurate company information
- tell us when the people allowed to book on the account change
We may suspend or close an account if the payment terms are not met.
19. Events beyond our control
We are not responsible for failing to provide, or delaying, a journey because of events outside our reasonable control. These include severe weather, natural disasters, road closures, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions, pandemics and terrorist incidents. If this happens, we will tell you as soon as we can.
20. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer.
If we do not keep to these terms, we are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our failure. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. If you book for business purposes, we are not responsible for loss of profit, loss of business or loss of opportunity, and our total liability for a booking is limited to the fare for that booking.
21. Using this website

If you are not happy with our final response, you can contact Transport for London, which licenses us.
24. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will publish the new version on this page. The terms on this page on the day you book, or on the day we confirm your booking, are the terms that apply to it.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales can deal with any dispute about them. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring a claim in your local courts.
